Top TV Picks This Autumn

Autumn in the UK means cold weather, fires on and sitting in front of the TV on days off trying to cosy up. What better way to cosy up in front of the fire with exciting TV shows?! I've compiled a list of my current favourite TV picks which range from drama packed series to jam packed horrors and comedies to mockumentaries. Check them out!

1. Empire

If you're big into the music industry or just simply love a drama packed show, Empire will be right up your street. The show centres on the Lyon family, father of the family Lucious Lyon transformed from a dangerous drug dealer into a top music mogul in the Hip-Hop industry, being CEO of Empire Entertainment. In the most British way possible, think Simon Cowell being a former drug dealer who is now one of the UK music industry's most respected men. The show focuses on problems for the family including deadly diseases, homophobia and family feuds. The show just kicked off its second series in America, and will be available to watch in the UK on E4 October 6th at 9pm.

2. Community

Community is probably most known for this clip. However, there's a lot more to the show. It's funny, light-hearted and so easy to watch. Now in it's sixth series, the show continues to grow in popularity. People of my age (22) may recognise Yvette Nicole Brown who plays Shirley in the show from Nickelodeon cult classic Drake and Josh and the obvious Ken Jeong for the infamous Mr. Chow from The Hangover series. The show's creator Dan Harmon based his own experience at community college around the show and it gives the show a sense of realism, despite it's humour and hundreds of parodies. If drama like Empire isn't your thing and you prefer a TV show to watch that is funny and charming, then I definitely recommend Community. (It's also on Netflix! Get searching)

3. Scream Queens

Scream Queen's debut was only last week, yet has already took the TV world by storm. Created by the legend Ryan Murphy famous for Glee and American Horror Story, the show sort of combines the two together, to create a gory and comedic university story. The show features a great ensemble cast of Jamie Lee Curtis, Emma Roberts, Ariana Grande, Nick Jonas, Abigail Breslin and Lea Michele. The show's set up has been confirmed to be similar to American Horror Story as an anthology, which I think is a great way to attract a much larger audience.

4. Parks and Recreation

If you liked The Office US then you'll love this! Amy Poehler's Leslie Knope is Pawnee's answer to Michael Scott, quirky, a little dim but so determined and passionate about her job. Although the TV show has officially ended, there is no reason why you can't still start watching this to ease into the colder months with 7 seasons of sarcasm, laughter and satire. Chris Pratt provides some easy watching eye candy for the show, and the incredible Aziz Ansari's character Tom Haverford is one of the show's highlights.

Get the Kylie Jenner Look with InTheStyle

Envious of Kylie Jenner's style and wardrobe like most of the internet these days? Me too!
However, with Kylie's looking being highly lusted after, we are not short of imitation pieces or similar clothing for a much smaller ticket price.

I've picked out some of InTheStyle's best pieces to achieve Kylie's look for less.

Concert Photography

I am by no means the most amazing photographer on the planet, and I use a severely average camera, but I thought I would share some of my favourite photographs I have taken at the concerts I have been to over the years!

How to save money on Chanel Perfume and still smell fabulous

Ever wanted a Chanel perfume but then saw the price tag and then wanted to cry? Yep, me too.

I recently discovered that why should I spend £90 on a perfume when a product Chanel offers for a fraction of that price smells the exact same and actually lasts longer.

Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials Secret Premiere

On Monday 7th September, I attended the secret screening/premiere of the sequel to The Maze Runner, called Maze Runner: Scorch Trials in London's West End/Leicester Square. Unaware to us at the time of winning invites, it was in fact the UK premiere of the film. We first thought it was just a pre-release screening. However there was no red carpet and a lot less stars compared to the USA premiere earlier this month. In fact, from what I could see in the dark room, the only stars watching the movie with us was Caspar Lee, Joe Sugg and Oli White. I assume they were invited to vlog and promote the movie on social media.
