Losing My Soap & Glory Virginity

I'm going to admit something shocking, I have never owned Soap & Glory products. At least, I think so anyway, I may have owned some bubble bath circa aged 12, ten years ago. But alas, here we are now, I, Becky aged 22, obsessed with beauty and owner of a blog bought my first two Soap & Glory products last week. I got both for £15 as Boots had a buy one get one half price deal on which is still on here, if you want to take advantage and buy some things!

I've heard soooo many bloggers talking about this product! Even claiming for it to work better than the high end spectrum of primers. What I love about this primer is that it doesn't go all crusty or gooey after a certain amount of time like The Body Shop's Instablur or Benefit's Porefessional. At only £10, it's significantly cheaper than both Benefit's and The Body Shop's offering at pore minimizing primers. It's creamy and effortless to use, and definitely keeps the shine at bay. I have noticed an incredible difference in the longevity of my make up and my foundation applies so smoothly, no matter which one I use. A big thumbs up for Soap & Glory on my first purchase!

Admittedly, I was annoyed that the archery brow tint pencil is only available in two colours as I like my brows dark, and with only a blonde and brunette colour available I obviously chose the brunette one to match my hair colour. The brow tint doesn't really work well on my actual brows but when I swatched it on my hand, it was such a bitch to get off!! However, the precision pencil on the other side is incredible, it's great for unsteady hands like mine and the colour blends out naturally into the brows to fill in the empty gaps. I have a big scar on my left eyebrow which makes finding the right brow products torturous, however,  the precision pencil fills in most of it. I then use Benefit's Gimmie Brow over the top to complete the look and make sure my brows are tamed and filled in completely.

What are your thoughts on Soap & Glory make up, any recommendations?

Taking a Break

Hello, it's me, I'm back! You may have noticed I haven't posted for a month and that's because I decided I needed to take a break from my blog and really focus on what I want from blogging and what I to achieve from this blog. Around November, I found myself becoming uninspired with my blog and not enjoying any of the posts I had written and would delete them instead of clicking publish. I felt my blog was getting lost among all the great ones I read and couldn't help but compare myself constantly to everybody else. I think it is essential everybody takes a break in what they are truly passionate about to ensure they continue to stay focused on this passion and to not let it get overidden with other aspects of life.
